Places - Some of my favourite foodie places; mostly in the North West, all delicious in one way or another. This is the definitive list (in my book at least) to Manchester/South Cheshire restaurants and foodie places. Always changing.
People - People to follow on twitter immediately, if not sooner.

- The Cheshire Cookery School - I've reviewed the school before. Love, love, love the atmosphere and the people, please go. You'll love it, I promise. (@CheshireCookery)
- Cafe Jem & I - Didsbury restaurant, hasn't failed me yet. Have the lamb.
- Abode Manchester - Michael Caines restaurant with, without a doubt, the best value lunchtime menu. Five fine dining courses with wine parings for £35? Yes please.
- The Red Lion - Pub in Cheadle (Stockport Road), best pub grub this side of the Rovers Return, Sunday carvery at £6.95 for those hungover days when you just need to eat. 4 joints to choose from, all cooked to perfection.
- Tarantella - Italian restaurant in Cheadle, fell out of the '80s and stayed there and for that I salute you. Party lights and singing waiters on your birthday, the carbonara is the best I've tasted.
- Aroi - Middle East and Asian takeaway
- Roast - OK. It's London, but tell me, how can you leave this off the list?

- Claire Burt - I've only met Claire once, quit her job to produce stunning blue cheese - Burt's Cheese (@BurtsCheese)
Other Blogs - Not foodie but definitely fab
